In cases of wet weather, Hornsby Council may close the grounds. This information is available on the HDSA website and also on the Wet Weather line.
Training sessions will also be cancelled if Hornsby Shire Council closes its grounds. Training on fields when closed may incur fines, is dangerous to players and may damage the playing fields. In cases of wet weather where grounds have not been closed, the decision is then up to the coaches' discretion.
Information on ground closures for training sessions, can be obtained by contacting Hornsby Council on ph. 9847 6764. You may not be covered by insurance should you choose to train on a closed ground.
HDSA now have a SMS Bounce back line. To check on Summer competition games at Galston, simply text HDSA to 19922767. You will receive a bounceback reply almost immediately.
Cost of SMS is 55c per message.
