Gear and Equipment

All players are required to wear the following items at all competition and trial games;

Thunder shirt, Thunder socks, Thunder shorts
Shin pads, Soccer Boots

Thornleigh Thunder FC will loan a "Thunder" shirt to each registered player, which must be returned at the end of the season.

"Thunder" shorts and socks will be provided at no cost to all new Junior players to the Club.

For all other players "Thunder" shorts and socks can be ordered at Registration, purchased at the Oakleigh Oval canteen on Saturday mornings during the soccer season or purchased direct from the Gear and Equipment Manager. Socks will cost $7 and shorts $18.

Each player will also need to wear soccer boots and shin pads, which can be purchased from any reasonable sports store.
Thornleigh Thunder FC provides a kit to each team which includes a match ball, training balls, whistle, pump and armbands for the coach and manager.
Although teams will be supplied with training balls, each player is encouraged to have his/her own soccer ball, so that he/she can practice outside of formal training sessions.
All players should bring a container of water to all matches and training sessions to avoid the risk of dehydration. Any queries regarding gear and equipment should be directed to the Gear and Equipment Manager.
