Thornleigh Netball Club was first established in 1968 when Netball was known as "Women's Basketball" and was played weekly during the winter months against a handful of other clubs from the district. It was played at a few of the schools, as they were the only courts available. We have continued to grow throughout the years and currently play in the Hills District Netball Association competitions at the Pennant Hills Sporting Complex in Brittannia Road, Pennant Hills.

We enter teams in the Winter Day Competition, Junior from age 8 to 15 years. Cadets 16 to 18 years and Senior 16 years and over. We also enter Senior teams in the Summer and Spring "Night" Competitions.

In 2007 Thornleigh Netball Club consisted of 134 players in 8 Junior teams and 8 Senior teams.

The Thornleigh Club reached 2nd on the Club Championship table and was represented by 9 teams in the semi final round in 2007. They were the 10/1, 10/4, 13/2, 13/4, 14/3, CAD/6, B/1, C/2 and C/4.  3 of these teams made the finals and 5 made the Grand Finals.

The Thornleigh Netball Club promotes a happy and healthy sporting environment and the coaches and managers should be congratulated for helping the players achieve a great 2007 season.

For match results and team placings go to the Hills District web site at http://www.isport.com.au/netball/hills and click on Thornleigh.

Thornleigh Netball Club is a happy and healthy club, which promotes good skills and training, competitiveness, fair play and fun. We also promote parent involvement.
